completion: 2020
surface: 67 m²
The project includeed a general renovation of the apartment from late 50s in Krakow’s social-modernist neighborhood. Special attention was paid to maintain the original functional layout with minimal correction of partition walls and door openings. The kitchen was slightely enlarged which allowed to find a place for additional set of seats and a table. A new, wide opening with double-leaf door was designed between bedroom and the living room enabling a better connection between a day zone of apartment and working area in adjacent room and more importantly providing access to natural light in living room almost all day long.
The elements of equipment were carefully selected, using natural materials that at the same time refer to the industrial character of Nowa Huta, such as original old brick or concrete floor.
