The owners of the rebuilt house, a typical ‘cube’ from the 1970s, primarily wanted to visually and functionally enlarge the living area of the building and unite it with a beautiful orchard garden in the rear side of the plot.
As the ground floor of the building was originally elevated by 1 meter above the ground level, the newly built part of the house was designed as a sequence of terrace-like cascades to enable the connection of the house with the existing greenery.
In order to avoid complications during the renovation works, the interference in the structure of the existing building was limited to demolishing only some partition walls and enlarging the windows.
